Purpose
Grayslist is a community movement for collective empowerment and shared abundance. It began at Grays Landing and extends to our neighbors in South Waterfront, Portland. The platform connects residents through the simple act of helping one another, creating a space where resources and skills are exchanged for mutual benefit rather than profit. Its purpose is to strengthen those most affected by economic and social inequities, including veterans, disabled residents, elders, women, and immigrants, while welcoming everyone into the shared work of care.
Grayslist offers a living alternative to the isolation of individualism. By sharing food, skills, and time, residents build a self-sustaining network grounded in solidarity and trust. This is not charity, but collaboration. Each exchange, large or small, moves us closer to a world where dignity and cooperation guide our lives, and where community replaces exploitation as the foundation of daily survival.
